REQUIREMENTS: Technician III- Our client requires that candidates must have ability to obtain a DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL), for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- 2-year technical degree or a Minimum of 3 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.
- Required skills include proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools and hand tools.
- Specific skills include:
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano scale fabrication, assembly, test with near zero defects.
Must be able to demonstrate high degree of mechanical aptitude and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements.
Conduct tests using electronics test equipment (ie. Scopes, meters, etc) and generate test report data.
Must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Must be able to up to 35 lb.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Technician III
Our client is seeking an experienced electrical/electronic technician to work in its facility performing electro-mechanical assembly of micro-electronic products and support equipment. Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches and be able to follow written and verbal work instructions. Be able and willing to work additional hours when required, including weekends. Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive developmental assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance systems. Performs a variety of duties assisting engineers in the development of mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components.
SKILLS PREFERRED: Technician III
Ability to communicate feedback to the team to support design, fabrication and test improvements.
Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment operator experience
Troubleshooting of electronic and electro-mechanical systems
Trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements
Understanding of 3D CAD software
Basic understanding of GD&T
EDUCATION PREFERRED: Technician III- 2-year technical degree and 3 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.
