As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll provide technical support to quality and process control, environmental monitoring, and process development.
What you’ll do:
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and apparatus; prepares solutions, reagents and sample formulations.
- Compiles, records and interprets experimental or analytical results.
- Provides chemical technical support for waste water treatment.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Carries out other duties as assigned.
- Prepares process control specimens for production personnel per Laboratory Standard Operations.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 or more years of experience in operating specialized equipment, including microscopes, spectrometers and hardness testers
- 1 or more experience in performing failure analysis and material characterization.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of laboratory software.
- Prior or current testing experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment
- Prior or current CCL (Central Coating Laboratory ) specialized training or certification.
- Willingness to learn and be receptive to continuous improvement through OJT and external educational opportunities.
- Good organizational, analytical, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
