About the Project
We are hiring multiple contract roles to support a large-scale installation project inside a high‑tech large-scale national distribution facility. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, reliable, and ready to work.
Location: Rochester, NY
Project Start Date: May 25, 2026
Project Duration: 6 weeks
Shift Start Time: 7 am start time
Pay Rate:
$25 (Technician)
$22 (Material Handling)
$20 (General Laborer)
$23 (Forklift Operation – certification required)
1. Mechanical Technician
Summary: Technicians install chutes, mechanical systems, and HMIs with precision, following blueprints and SOPs.
Key Responsibilities:
Install chutes, mechanical components, and HMIs
Work safely at heights up to 6 ft
Follow blueprints and SOPs accurately
Install wires, cables, and small/large mechanical parts
Use hand and power tools for mechanical assembly
2. Material Handler
Summary: Material Handlers support the installation team by moving, staging, and organizing materials throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport and stage materials for technicians
Use pallet jacks and carts to move inventory
Assist with unloading and organizing shipments
Maintain clean, safe work areas
Support assembly teams as needed
3. General Laborer
Summary: General Laborers perform essential support tasks to keep the project running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with basic mechanical tasks and site cleanup
Remove tape, debris, and packaging materials
Support installation teams with manual labor
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Follow all safety and site procedures
4. Forklift Operator
Summary: Forklift Operators handle material movement using powered industrial trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts safely to move materials
Load/unload pallets and equipment
Support material flow for installation teams
Perform daily equipment checks
Maintain organized staging areas
Requirements (All Roles)
Experience with hand and power tools
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
Comfortable standing/walking for long periods
Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused
Able to read a tape measure accurately
Valid ID required daily
Forklift Operators: valid certification
Bonus Experience: construction, carpentry, mechanical assembly
Work Environment
Climate‑controlled warehouse
Loud, fast‑paced, and sometimes chaotic
10‑hour shifts, Monday–Friday (possible Saturday OT)
1‑hour lunch

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
