Key Duties & Responsibilities

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Technician Sr. (Level 2) to join our team in Courtland, AL! This position will be performing functional testing of harnesses and other electronics manufactured in a production environment. This position is in support of the latest cutting-edge Aerospace programs to include Manned Space Systems, Hypersonic Missiles, Missile Defense, and NASA programs.

This position is to support our night shift on a 4x10 schedule: Monday-Thursday 1530-0200. However, the position may require periodic or unscheduled overtime and/or nonstandard workweek depending on program schedule requirements and equipment availability.

Summary of key duties for this position:

  • Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with or a willingness to learn how to use standard hand tools and test equipment including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers and/or torque wrenches
  • Experience with or a willingness to learn how to read and work from test procedures, work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, wiring lists, sketches, and/or other information and documentation
  • Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work from technical documents, test plans, procedures, and/or reports

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with analog and digital measurement techniques and instrumentation (e.g. DMM, RF Test Equipment, Power Supplies, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DITMCO and/or CIRRIS testers
  • Experience or knowledge of proper use of standard hand tools including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and/or network analyzers
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Work experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry
  • Experience working with SAP, EPDM, DOORs, CREO, CAMEO, Automation Framework, or industry equivalent(s)
  • Prior experience testing electrical harnesses or electrical harness building
  • Ability to maintain process discipline in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and seek new challenges
  • Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
