ABOUT Hermosa Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals-manganese and zinc-as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nations clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Surface Maintenance Technician will conduct all preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on wastewater equipment and general site maintenance to include:
• Trouble shooting pumps, valves, piping, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and any other equipment with the site, while following all site Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental requirements and standards.
This role will be based at the mine location near Patagonia, AZ. Other key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Demonstrated exceptional commitment to safety and health, following all site Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and standards. • Complying with regulations and ensuring all work is performed to industry standards. • Completing all maintenance without any safety or environmental incidents within scope, on schedule, on budget, and meeting all standards and statutory requirements. • Completing formal and daily reporting in a timely manner and maintaining regular informal communication with all stakeholders. • Documenting maintenance activities, inspections, and issues, ensuring all maintenance activities are documented through work orders and filed accordingly. • Fostering a positive and effective working relationship within the Maintenance team as well as with other departments across the site. • Maintaining good working relationships with external suppliers and contractors. • Performing fixed plant process maintenance and small mobile maintenance activities in accordance with the site schedule, including both preventive and unscheduled maintenance. • Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. • Referencing parts manuals, books, to make necessary repairs. • Understanding and complying with all Site Standard Operating Procedures and applicable safety and health requirements. • Adhering to the established Planned Maintenance PM schedule and any unscheduled maintenance. • Other duties as assigned.

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
• Ability to drive company vehicle and be covered under company insurance. • Must have the ability to work a rotating shift with no restrictions. • Must be able to pass Background and Drug Screen. • Maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct. • Great communication skills required, must be able to speak, read, and write clearly and effectively in English. • General working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping systems required. • Experience in maintaining a fixed plant setting, including pump rebuilds and preventive maintenance, valves, piping, small motors, etc.
