We are seeking a skilled and reliable Surgical Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Washington, DC. The opening requires strong operating room experience and certification as a Surgical Technologist in addition to the above skills. The ideal candidate will support surgical teams by maintaining a sterile environment, preparing instruments, and ensuring efficient operating room workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments before, during, and after procedures
Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to procedure requirements
Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operative procedures
Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards at all times
Perform instrument counts and ensure proper handling of surgical specimens
Support operating room turnover and equipment readiness
Participate in on-call rotation as required
Minimum Qualifications
NBSTSA Certification as a Surgical Technologist ( CST) — Required
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience — Required
BLS Certification — Required
High School Diploma — Required
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work extended shifts and respond to on-call assignments

Location: Washington, DC
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM, Monday–Friday
On-Call: Required
