Performs other duties as assigned. Recommends and evaluates technical methods and procedures. Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations. Works assigned shifts and subject to overtime and call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned.ResponsibilitiesReceives identifies organizes and prioritizes specimens to ensure accurate and timely test processing.Performs and reports requested laboratory procedures.Performs quality control proficiency testing routine instrument maintenance and inventory control.Evaluates positive patient identification to reduce analytical and post-analytical error andor adverse patient outcomes.Assesses evaluates and draws appropriate conclusions.Evaluates technical methods and procedures.Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations.Supports life long learningCompletes assigned goals.SpecificationsExperienceAdvanced technical and managerial skills.Minimum RequiredTwo 2 years of experience as Medical Technologist.PreferredDesiredHospital experience preferred.EducationMinimum RequiredState Licensures andor National registration or certification in concordance with current Federal andor State Regulations.PreferredDesiredTrainingMinimum RequiredState Licensures andor National registration or certification in concordance with current Federal andor State Regulations.PreferredDesiredSpecial SkillsPosition requires basic computer literacy skills.Minimum RequiredBasic computer literacy skills.PreferredDesiredLicensureMinimum licensure requires at least one of the following licensurecertifications AMT ASCP or NCA.
