Overview

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Work may be performed in mobile health unit, clinic or hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principles/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.

• Operates mammography equipment and performs mammography procedures.

• Assists in developing a network of community stakeholders necessary to coordinate effective events with the mobile unit in surrounding areas.

• Promotes the services of mobile Mammography Baptist and the need for screening mammography in assigned areas.

• Completes documentation as required to comply with policies and procedures.

• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment areas and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

• Completes other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education

Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Mammography (ARRT-M). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Minimum Experience

6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all Mammo competencies at the end of orientation period.

Minimum Licensure/Registration/Certification

ARRT-R ARRT-M BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE
