Overview Job Summary Assists team during delivery or operation/procedure by arranging inventory, and maintaining sterile set up as indicated for procedure and passes items as needed. Also assists in preparation of labor and delivery/surgical suite moving patients and in cleaning. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assists in performance of procedures for the OBGYN patient in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures.
• Assists in providing intraoperative care and deliveries.
• Provides and adequately utilizes equipment and supplies based on patient needs in a safe manner.
• Performs activities that demonstrate technical accountability.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.

Specifications Experience Minimum Required Preferred Desired Education Minimum Required Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties. Preferred Desired Training Minimum Required Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technologists. National certification as a surgical technician. 20 Hours of continuing education annually Preferred Desired Special Skills Minimum Required Computer literacy. Be a member of a professional organization. Preferred Desired Licensure Minimum Required BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. CPR Hold current national certification through an approved accreditation body or five years of previous cardiovascular surgery experience. Preferred Desired
