Job Description:
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep
expertise in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is critical for leading our infrastructure
provisioning efforts, providing advanced technical support, resolving complex issues, and
ensuring the smooth operation of our GCP environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep
knowledge of GCP services, a strong background in infrastructure as code using Terraform,
excellent problem-solving skills, and proven leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:
" Infrastructure Provisioning and Automation:
o Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
using Terraform.
o Develop and manage a library of reusable Terraform modules to ensure
consistent, reliable, and scalable infrastructure provisioning.
o Automate the deployment, configuration, and management of GCP resources to
improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
" Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
o Provide L2/L3 support for all aspects of the GCP environment.
o Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues related to networking,
security, and application hosting.
o Collaborate with L1 support and other teams to ensure the timely resolution of all
technical issues.
" Technical Leadership:
o Lead and mentor a team of support engineers, fostering a collaborative and highperformance culture.
o Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring best practices
for infrastructure management are followed.
o Conduct regular team meetings and technical reviews to ensure alignment with
organizational goals.
" Incident and Problem Management:
o Manage and resolve incidents and problems in a timely manner.
o Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and implement corrective actions
to prevent recurrence.
o Document incident resolutions and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
" Change and Release Management:
o Review and approve infrastructure-related Change Requests in ServiceNow.
o Participate in change management processes to ensure minimal disruption to
services.
o Coordinate with relevant teams to deploy infrastructure changes and updates.
" Monitoring and Performance Tuning:
o Monitor GCP environments to ensure optimal performance, availability, and costeffectiveness.
o Identify performance bottlenecks and implement tuning measures.
o Utilize monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve infrastructure issues.
" Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and
security.
o Participate in JIRA scrum meetings for prioritization and planning.
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on support
activities and project progress.

Qualifications:
Education:
" Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or
equivalent experience).

Experience:
" Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering roles.
" At least 3 years of hands-on experience with core GCP services.
" Proven experience in a leadership or technical lead role.
Technical Skills:
" Expert proficiency in Terraform for provisioning and managing GCP infrastructure.
" Strong experience with creating, managing, and versioning Terraform modules and state.
" Strong proficiency in GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM,
Cloud SQL).
" Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
" Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging,
Prometheus, Grafana).
" Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, GKE, Kubernetes) is a plus.
" Experience with other automation tools like Ansible is beneficial.
