Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technology Architect SAP Crystal Reports with strong expertise in SAP Commissions (Callidus), Crystal Reports, Embedded Analytics, SQL, and Business Intelligence Reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise reporting solutions that provide meaningful business insights and support strategic decision-making.
This role requires hands-on experience with Crystal Reports report development, SAP Commissions (Callidus) reporting, stored procedures, SQL query optimization, and report automation. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable, high-performing BI solutions while ensuring data accuracy, report reliability, and enterprise reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Report Design & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade reports using SAP Crystal Reports.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
- Develop complex report layouts, formulas, parameters, subreports, and calculated fields.
- Build interactive dashboards and analytical reports that support business operations and executive decision-making.
- Design reusable report templates and reporting standards across multiple business functions.
SAP Commissions (Callidus) Reporting
- Configure, develop, and publish reports within SAP Commissions (Callidus).
- Develop customized reports supporting incentive compensation and commission management processes.
- Implement Embedded Analytics reporting solutions to provide real-time business insights.
- Support enhancements and maintenance of SAP Commissions reporting environments.
Data Analysis & SQL Development
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, and database objects supporting reporting solutions.
- Analyze large datasets and transform business requirements into meaningful reports.
- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy across reporting environments.
Data Source Management
- Connect Crystal Reports to multiple enterprise data sources including:
- SAP HANA
- SQL Server
- Oracle Database
- Flat Files
- Excel Spreadsheets
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot data-related reporting issues and ensure optimal report performance.
Report Deployment & Administration
- Deploy Crystal Reports to enterprise reporting platforms and report servers.
- Configure automated report scheduling and distribution.
- Manage report security, user access, and report lifecycle.
- Monitor report performance and resolve production issues.
- Support report version control and deployment best practices.
Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
- Design reporting solutions aligned with enterprise Business Intelligence strategies.
- Develop reports that provide actionable business insights and performance metrics.
- Integrate charts, graphs, KPIs, and visual analytics into reporting solutions.
Production Support & Maintenance
- Provide ongoing production support for Crystal Reports and SAP Commissions reporting solutions.
- Troubleshoot report failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues.
- Perform report enhancements and continuous improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation and reporting standards.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Work closely with business users, architects, database administrators, and development teams.
- Provide technical guidance on reporting architecture and BI best practices.
- Participate in solution design discussions and reporting strategy initiatives.
- Mentor junior developers on Crystal Reports and SAP Commissions reporting development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and enterprise reporting solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Crystal Reports development.
- Experience configuring and publishing reports in SAP Commissions (Callidus).
- Strong experience with Embedded Analytics reporting.
