SUMMARY:
The Technology Assessment Specialist will be responsible and accountable for data flow and system configuration as it relates to assessments. The Specialist will work closely with the Director of Academic Student Services and collaboratively with the technology department and teaching and learning department to ensure the assessment portion of Infinite Campus is user friendly for families and district-wide assessment and data needs are fulfilled. The Technology Assessment Specialist works closely with state and district-wide backend data configuration which includes the timely upload of data into student information systems.

Technology: Data Systems
- System Configuration: Manage and maintain the backend configuration of district data systems to ensure optimal functionality, data integrity, and alignment with district needs.
- Assessment Management: Administer and oversee the Infinite Campus assessment portal, ensuring accurate setup, roster syncing, and streamlined access for educators and families
- Rostering: Work with the technology, teaching and learning and student services departments to ensure students are rostered correctly in assessment and intervention systems (e.g. aimswebPlus, NWEA MAP, FastBridge, Naglieri, Intervention Platforms, etc.).
- Data Management Systems: Build complex data queries and support the design of intuitive, interactive dashboards to provide stakeholders with actionable, real-time insights.
- Data Communication: Disseminate assessment results, using the district's data management tools and through other means (e.g. School Messenger, NextPath), to families and staff.
- Data Flow Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional district teams and school leaders to optimize, streamline, and secure data flows between disparate software applications and departments. This will include reviewing, verifying and uploading assessment scores when they become available.
- State Compliance: Compile, validate, and submit required district data and state reports to the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) in strict accordance with state deadlines and guidelines.
- Data Correction Management: Review and correct state testing data prior to closing of data review windows as it impacts the school/district report cards. Collaborate with departments to ensure that the student information system is accurate particularly as related to report card performance criteria (SPED, ELL, F/R lunch, ethnicity, CEIS, Title I, Title III).
Assessment
- Fulfill the District and state assessment responsibilities as outlined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in collaboration with the District Assessment coordinator and the School Assessment coordinators.
- Establish strong relationships with testing vendors while partnering with the technology department to ensure data is loaded (and validated) into a variety of platforms (WI Forward, DLM, PreACT Secure, PreACT 8/9, ACT, MAP, AIMSweb, Fastbridge, etc.), while maintaining test security.
- Collaborate and communicate with WI DPI and CESA on behalf of the district for assessment needs and attend trainings from these and other organizations as appropriate and needed.
- Coordinate and monitor state assessment training sessions across the district (e.g. DLM, ACCESS, etc.).
General Responsibilities
- Purchasing & Requisitions: Initiate, track, and manage technology-related Skyward requisitions and purchasing requests from inception to approval.
- Budgeting & Payments: Collaborate on Skyward budgeting processes and accurately process vendor payments to ensure fiscal responsibility and alignment with technology department allocations.
- Districtwide Communication: Serve as a central point for district communications messaging with a variety of communication tools (Aptegy, Infinite Campus, etc.)
