Description:
12-Month- Technology Assistant I (Tier Technology Support Staff I)
Job Summary:
- Assist students and staff in the use of learning technical equipment and software applications utilized by the district
- Provide Help Desk support of equipment, district software, and technology systems for staff, students, and parents
- Troubleshoot issues associated with the district software applications, including but not limited to educational software and apps for staff, students, and parents
- Assist with the purchasing for the Technology Department
- Maintain broken or damaged student/staff equipment; including temporary devices
- Set up and processing of devices for new students and staff
- Maintain inventory and supplies for Technology Department
- Assist with setting up technical equipment for standard and special school events
- Assist all other technology team members
- Assist with the supervision of student workers
- Continuously update knowledge and skills in support of school and District initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Technology Department Chair in conjunction with the Support Staff Administrator
Qualifications:
- Good interpersonal relations, communication skills and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of technical equipment, hardware and software troubleshooting
- Good troublshooting skills and a basxic knowledge of help desk systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, GSuite, and other online learning applications
- Knowledge of Infinite Campus, Schoology, and/or other student information or learning management systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MacOS, iPadOS, and related hardware and software
- General knowledge in the use of JAMF or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) Systems
- General knowledge of iOS system updates, application updates, and iCloud management
- Manage and troubleshoot various multi-platform applications and learning management systems
- Teamwork skills along with self-direction and leadership capabilities
- Demonstrate good judgment, trustworthiness, flexibility, self-motivation, confidentiality and the ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
Working Conditions:
Is under the supervision of the Support Staff Administrator while working under the guidance of the Technology Department Chair
Terms of Employment
12-month, Salary and benefits to be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the United Support Staff Council.
