General Summary:

Are you an experienced technology leader who thrives on developing high-performing teams and delivering complex technology solutions? We are seeking a Technology Delivery Manager to lead a highly skilled delivery team supporting critical enterprise capabilities and custom FINEOS solutions.

In this role, you will provide leadership to a team of technology professionals, driving delivery excellence while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee development. You will be responsible for ensuring successful execution of technology initiatives, removing organizational and operational barriers, proactively managing risks and dependencies, and partnering with business and technology stakeholders to deliver measurable business value.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of technology delivery experience, people leadership, agile team management, and the ability to develop and grow talent while ensuring consistent execution across a dynamic delivery environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading technology delivery teams, technology programs, or technology operations functions.
• Direct people leadership experience, including managing, coaching, and developing employees.
• Experience leading teams within Agile delivery environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, delivery risks, operational issues, and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience partnering with business leaders, product teams, and technology organizations to deliver strategic initiatives.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams and create a culture focused on accountability, engagement, and results.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications, software delivery, digital products, or technology platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading teams supporting the FINEOS platform or similar enterprise insurance technology solutions.
• Background in insurance, claims administration, or benefits technology environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-based architectures, enterprise applications, systems integration, and data migration strategies.
• Experience managing distributed and geographically diverse teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, and continuous improvement principles.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of technology professionals, fostering an engaged, high-performing, and inclusive team culture.
• Provide direct people leadership, including performance management, career development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Drive successful delivery of technology solutions and services while ensuring alignment with business priorities and organizational objectives.
• Partner closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology leadership to maintain a healthy and prioritized delivery backlog.
• Proactively identify, manage, and resolve project risks, operational blockers, resource constraints, and system dependencies.
• Support Agile delivery practices and help teams continuously improve planning, execution, quality, and predictability.
• Ensure teams follow sound engineering and delivery practices, including testing, quality assurance, continuous integration, deployment standards, and technical governance.
• Monitor delivery performance metrics and implement improvements that increase team effectiveness and business outcomes.
• Facilitate collaboration across technology and business teams to ensure efficient delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Identify skills gaps within the team and develop plans to strengthen capabilities through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and cross-training.
• Champion continuous improvement and organizational agility while helping teams navigate change effectively.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and delivery practices that may improve business outcomes and team performance.
• Build and sustain a self-organizing, empowered team environment focused on accountability, innovation, and customer value.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$89,400.00-$183,500.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
