Technology Director – Commerce
The Technology Director (Commerce) will lead end-to-end solution delivery across the full lifecycle—from pre-sales and solution design through implementation and production deployment. This role is responsible for providing technical leadership across a portfolio of commerce initiatives, ensuring scalable architecture, high-quality delivery, and alignment with enterprise standards.
This individual will act as a senior technical advisor, partnering with internal teams and stakeholders to design, architect, and deliver complex commerce solutions within enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical solutioning across the full lifecycle, including pre-sales support, solution design, implementation, and deployment
Provide architectural oversight and ensure best practices across multiple concurrent initiatives
Guide development teams and serve as the primary technical escalation point
Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performing solutions
Evaluate technical feasibility, complexity, and level of effort, offering clear recommendations and alternatives
Support modernization efforts, including platform evolution and integration strategies
Contribute to RFP responses, technical presentations, and solution strategy discussions
Drive alignment with enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and development standards
Mentor team members and contribute to technical thought leadership initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of experience in eCommerce architecture, development, and systems integration
Hands-on experience with enterprise commerce platforms (e.g., SAP Commerce/Hybris or similar)
Background in Java and object-oriented programming
Experience with headless architectures, APIs, and modern front-end frameworks
Familiarity with SaaS-based solutions and cloud environments
Experience leading customer-facing delivery engagements
