    Job Description

    Purpose of Position:

    Destinations Career Academy is seeking a full-time Engineering/Technology Education Teacher. Well-qualified candidates will hold a current #1220 Technology Education license or be willing to pursue licensure with appropriate work experiences that will enhance the classroom experiences for students.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Teaching duties including, but not limited to supervision of students, grading, lesson planning and implementation
    • General management of the virtual classroom
    • Committee participation and student support
    • Support our SkillsUSA student organization

    Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Technology Education (#1220) certification to include Grades 6-12, or willingness to complete requirements of certification program
    • Technology and engineering-related work experience (potentially in the Operating Engineers industry)

    Desired Qualifications (pre-certified and/or willingness/ability to pursue):

    • Master's degree
    • Dual credit certification with the Wisconsin Technical College System

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience working in a virtual environment.
    • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
    • Experience teaching online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment
    • Experience teaching interventions and differentiation strategies, data-driven instruction
    • Ability to effectively communicate in multiple modes

    NOTICE:

    • This is not a position of the McFarland School District
    • This position does have healthcare, vision, dental, 401K, & bonuses.
    • This is a work-from-home position with some travel (10%).
    • Computer, printer, soft phone and internet stipend provided.
