Our client, an investment firm, is seeking a Technology Finance Lead to join their team in New York, NY!
This role partners closely with Technology leadership, the CIO, and Finance to oversee technology investment planning, portfolio financial performance, and strategic capital allocation.
Responsibilities:Technology Investment Strategy -
Evaluate and financially assess new technology initiatives, developing investment recommendations, business cases, and cost projections.

Partner with technology leadership to prioritize investments based on strategic value, financial impact, and resource availability.

Support annual and quarterly technology investment planning across the Front Office portfolio.
Portfolio Financial Management -
Own financial oversight of the technology portfolio, monitoring budgets, forecasts, and actual spend across strategic initiatives.

Analyze project financial performance, identifying budget variances, schedule impacts, and funding risks.

Provide recommendations on funding adjustments, cost optimization, and investment prioritization.
Executive Financial Reporting -
Develop executive reporting and dashboards for the CIO, CFO, and senior technology leadership.

Present portfolio performance, investment utilization, financial risks, and forecast updates during quarterly business reviews.

Translate financial and operational metrics into actionable recommendations for executive decision-making.
Financial Governance -
Establish financial governance processes supporting technology investment approvals and portfolio management.

Review project funding requests, change requests, vendor spend, and SOW financial impacts.

Ensure financial discipline throughout the technology investment lifecycle while improving forecast accuracy and budget transparency.
Strategic Partnership -
Serve as the primary financial partner to Front Office Technology leadership.

Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Product, and Engineering teams to align investment decisions with business priorities.

Support long-term technology planning through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and resource planning.
Qualifications:-
810+ years of experience in Technology Finance, Technology FP&A, Technology Investment Strategy, Portfolio Finance, or Technology Business Management.

Experience supporting CIO or senior technology leadership within financial services, asset management, investment banking, or capital markets.

Strong experience managing technology budgets, capital planning, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Proven ability to analyze technology investments and provide executive-level recommendations.

Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and executive presentation skills.

Familiarity with technology delivery lifecycles and software development organizations.

Experience with tools such as Apptio, Planview, Clarity, Jira, Confluence, or similar portfolio management platforms.
Pay Rate: $85 - $120/hr
