Technology Investment Banking Analysts transitioning into venture capital support investment teams by applying transactional rigor, financial modeling expertise, and sector knowledge to early- and growth-stage technology investments.
Analysts collaborate closely with partners, founders, and operators to evaluate opportunities, conduct deep diligence, and support portfolio companies—bridging traditional banking skill sets with venture-style investing and ecosystem engagement.
Evaluate venture investment opportunities using technology sector frameworks
Build and analyze detailed financial models, valuations, and cap tables
Support due diligence across financials, business models, unit economics, and growth drivers
Leverage technology banking experience to assess market size, competitive dynamics, and exit potential
Assist with investment memos and materials for investment committee review
Track portfolio company financial and operational KPIs
Support fundraising processes, data room preparation, and LP reporting
Conduct market research across software, fintech, AI, and emerging technology sectors
Participate in founder meetings and technology ecosystem events
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field
Prior experience in technology investment banking, M&A, or capital markets strongly preferred
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
Demonstrated interest in venture capital, startups, and technology innovation
Ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear investment insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
