VCSU seeks a detail-oriented professional to join the Technology Services department as the Finance and Administrative Coordinator in a unique role that combines accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and office coordination. This position will work closely with the CIO and plays a key role in overseeing a variety of accounts while supporting the day-to-day operations of Technology Services. Responsibilities include department purchasing, invoice processing, payments, billing, budget tracking, financial reporting, recordkeeping, and coordinating administrative and operational activities within the department. The successful candidate will work extensively with spreadsheets, databases, office applications, and enterprise systems. This position will work an average of 20 hours per week and offers exceptional flexibility, including flexible work hours and opportunities for partial remote work.
Minimum Qualifications
An associate degree in accounting, business administration, banking, finance, or related field (may substitute two years directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements,) one year of accounting or financial experience, and experience with Microsoft Office applications are required.
Preferred Qualifications
A bachelors degree in related field; experience with fund balance accounting, including budgeting, purchasing, accounts payable, billing, and financial reporting; experience with PeopleSoft, Access or other databases; a demonstrated attention to detail, along with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Compensation
$19,000-$22,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
