Position Summary Under general administrative direction, the Technology/SIS Administrator oversees the district''s technology infrastructure, end-user support operations, and Student Information System (SIS) administration - with particular emphasis on PowerSchool SIS. This role combines hands-on technical support and hardware/network management with system-level administration, data governance, and reporting responsibilities to ensure the effective operation of instructional technology and student information systems district-wide. The ideal candidate is motivated, possesses superior problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and good task-management skills.

General Responsibilities Support and maintain the district''s computer systems, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals Support and maintain all AV inventory, such as interactive boards, document cameras, and sound systems Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal performance Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, including local-area network (LAN) issues Provide technical support and expertise to end-users regarding optimal setup of software, hardware, and network use Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC performance Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal Support development and implementation of new computer projects and hardware installations

PowerSchool SIS Administration (Core Responsibility) Serve as the district''s primary system administrator for PowerSchool SIS, including user account provisioning, security/permission group management, and system configuration Manage PowerSchool scheduling, enrollment, and student data workflows in coordination with registrars, school administrators, and office staff Configure and maintain PowerSchool state reporting extracts (enrollment, attendance, and other required state submissions), ensuring accuracy and on-time submission Build and maintain PowerSchool integrations with other district systems (Google Workspace, Active Directory, gradebook, food service, transportation, special education platforms, etc.) using PowerSchool''s API and import/export tools Troubleshoot and resolve PowerSchool system errors, sync failures, and data discrepancies Manage PowerSchool plugin installations, page/screen customizations, and utilize PowerSchool Community resources Coordinate PowerSchool upgrades, patches, and year-end/beginning-of-year rollover processes Train and support administrators, teachers, and office staff on PowerSchool functionality and best practices Maintain data integrity, backup procedures, and audit logs for the SIS environment Serve as the primary liaison with PowerSchool support/vendor for escalated technical issues
