Primary Purpose:
To assist the Technology Department with summer projects, maintenance, and support tasks aimed at preparing technology resources for the upcoming school year. This temporary position is ideal for students or individuals seeking experience in IT operations, hardware setup, and technical support in an educational or professional environment.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles
- Ability to troubleshoot common computer and peripheral issues
- Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS environments
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
- Physical ability to lift, move, and transport technology equipment (up to 50 lbs)
Experience: Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of Chromebooks, computers, monitors, keyboards, and other equipment
- Provide general support to IT staff on projects and tasks as assigned
- Assist with imaging, updating, and configuring computers and devices
- Inventory and organize technology equipment, labeling and documenting as needed
- Set up or remove technology equipment in classrooms, labs, and offices
- Help with basic troubleshooting of hardware and software issues
- Ensure proper handling and security of all district-owned technology
- Follow all safety procedures and department protocols
