Technology Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technology Systems Administrator to join our team at EPCSC. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology.

Essential Job Functions:

• Plan and help enforce new policies to protect systems and data, such as password changes, multi-factor authentication, phishing awareness, and cybersecurity training
• Manage installation and maintenance of all network equipment including physical and virtual servers, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, virtual appliances, wireless APs, and UPSs
• Support network services including printing, video surveillance, and VOIP phones
• Coordinate server maintenance including security patches, software installations, and upgrades
• Manage Windows imaging services, group policies, and desktop security best practices
• Actively monitor reports and maintain network security policies, including intrusion prevention and detection, content filter policies, and firewall rules
• Actively monitor student security software for vulnerabilities
• Manage data backups and disaster recovery plans
• Coordinate antivirus programs for desktops and servers
• Collaborate with the technical team for troubleshooting, projects, and escalation to vendors when necessary
• Collaborate with third-party vendors on best practices regarding design, implementation, and configuration of technology products and services
• Manage and maintain all 1:1 devices
• Maintain working knowledge of K-12 tech systems and network with colleagues and experts in the field
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent

Qualifications:

• Experience in K-12 technology preferred
• Experience with Google environment preferred
• Technical degree and certifications preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Project management skills
• Troubleshooting skills for both routine and in-depth problems
