This role requires a collaborative, proactive professional who can teach, lead, and provide technical support in a high-expectations environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Education, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Valid North Carolina Department of Public Instruction teaching license or in progress.
  • 1-2 years of teaching and/or IT support experience preferred.
  • Experience in a school setting is a plus.

Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging computer/technology lessons aligned with the NC Standard Course of Study.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that supports student success.
  • Assess student progress using formative and summative methods and differentiate instruction based on student needs.
  • Integrate technology and instructional media to enhance learning.
  • Support and participate in MTSS processes and school improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate leadership and collaboration through school programs such as Leader in Me.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to support learning and behavior.
  • Provide technical support for staff and students across Windows, Mac OS, and Chrome OS devices.
  • Manage and maintain G Suite (Google Workspace) applications and user support.
  • Install, configure, mount, and maintain instructional and network technology, including interactive displays, Smart Boards, projectors, wireless access points (APs), switches, and other classroom AV equipment.
  • Set up and coordinate audio-visual and classroom technology equipment.
  • Assist with network equipment and basic infrastructure support.
  • Maintain inventory, asset management systems, and documentation for technology equipment.
  • Coordinate equipment storage, distribution, and collection during school breaks.
  • Work with vendors for repairs and ensure the timely return of equipment.
  • Other duties assigned by the school administration.
