Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technology Transfer Engineer with 10+ years of engineering experience and strong expertise in auto-injector assembly, medical device technology transfer, and high-volume automated manufacturing. The ideal candidate will serve as a key assembly subject matter expert supporting the transfer of a commercial auto-injector manufacturing platform to a new manufacturing partner.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the transfer of a multi-component auto-injector assembly process to new production lines.
Serve as the primary technical liaison for assembly-related technology transfer activities.
Provide technical expertise in high-volume automated assembly and manufacturing processes.
Support manufacturing process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
Review technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and manufacturing requirements to ensure accurate knowledge transfer.
Support assembly line startup, scale-up, commissioning, and manufacturing readiness activities.
Identify and resolve technical gaps between manufacturing sites, production systems, and quality processes.
Support successful transition from development/transfer activities to high-volume commercial production.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and external manufacturing partners.
Provide hands-on technical support for assembly process issues and production challenges.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with auto-injector assembly.
Proven experience supporting medical device technology transfer activities.
Strong knowledge of high-volume plastic assembly and automated manufacturing processes.
Experience supporting assembly line startup, scale-up, and manufacturing readiness.
Experience troubleshooting complex assembly and manufacturing process issues.
Experience transferring manufacturing processes between sites or manufacturing partners.
Strong understanding of manufacturing documentation, specifications, and technical requirements.
Experience working in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
