Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of Windows and Linux platforms (primary focus of the role).
Knowledge of OS/DB/framework upgrade cycles, EOL/EOS processes, and remediation practices.
Familiarity with infrastructure components:
o Databases (DBA)
o Middleware
o IIS/App servers
o Cloud platforms
o Citrix
o Networking
Hands-on experience with JIRA and ServiceNow for workflow tracking.
Ability to work with environment provisioning, build sheets, access management, and deployment coordination.
(Nice to have) Exposure to Mainframe / AS400 platforms.
Functional Skills
Strong planning and coordination abilities for multi-application upgrade programs.
Experience handling risk, issue, and dependency management.
Understanding of change management processes (CRQ/REQ/WO).
Experience with compliance and governance frameworks (UCAL, SOX, security controls).
Ability to prepare and maintain documentation: one-pagers, runbooks, rollback plans, RACI, timelines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and leadership groups.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Upgrade Planning & Coordination
Support creation of upgrade roadmaps, milestones, and detailed cutover plans for multiple AITs.
Coordinate environment readiness across DEV/UAT/PROD/CNR.
Manage provisioning, build sheets, and access setup.
Align dependencies with DBA, Middleware, App/IIS, Cloud, Citrix, and Networking teams.
2. Execution & Governance
Participate in standups, checkpoints, and governance meetings.
Track and manage risks, issues, blockers, dependencies, and CRQs.
Ensure EOL/EOS items are remediated within committed timelines; escalate where required.
Support change readiness including HLD/LLD approvals, build status, test completion, and sign-offs.
3. Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain documentation: one-pagers, timelines, RACI charts, runbooks, rollback procedures.
Maintain hygiene in JIRA and ServiceNow statuses, comments, links to CRQ/REQ/WO.
Ensure adherence to UCAL/SOX standards, security controls, and audit/regulatory requirements.
4. Communication & Stakeholder Management
Act as primary coordinator between AIT teams, infrastructure, vendors, and partner groups.
Provide clear and timely status reporting including RAG statuses, risks/mitigations, and decisions required.
Prepare and deliver updates for leadership forums.
5. Testing & Cutover Support
Coordinate performance, functional, regression, and UAT testing cycles.
Support cutover planning, execution, and post-upgrade validation activities.
