We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Consult Liaison Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to provide telehealth psychiatric care for patients of all ages in Tennessee. This role offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for a provider interested in providing consult liaison services for a hospital setting. This role supports ED and inpatient teams by delivering timely psychiatric assessments, treatment recommendations, and care coordination.
This Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist role is currently classified as a 1099 contractor position with a pay per patient model, but IPC is open to discussion of other contract models. Rates are currently set at $170 per initial consultation and $60 per follow-up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform psychiatric initial evaluations and follow-up assessments for ED and inpatient consults.
Provide consult liaison services to support staff and ensure timely psychiatric interventions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in line with clinical and regulatory requirements.
Apply a patient-centered approach to care, tailoring treatment plans to meet individual needs and preferences.
Providers cover 6 hour or 12 hour shifts Monday- Friday or Saturday and Sunday.
Provide consistent weekend coverage (minimum two weekends/month).
Maintain reliability with assigned shifts and consult volumes.

QUALIFICATIONS
MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry.
Active, unrestricted medical license in Tennessee preferred (not required).
Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
Experience with telepsychiatry and managing diverse, multi-age patient populations is highly preferred.
Must be able to work remotely; candidates can reside anywhere in the U.S. (Tennessee licensure preferred).
