The position offers a clear path to grow into a Project Manager role within approximately two years in an environment that highly values employee development, long-term career growth, and strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Design telecommunications systems for a variety of projects within a multi-disciplinary design-build environment.
  • Produce high-quality telecom design documents using Revit, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project standards and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, architectural, construction, and project controls teams to integrate telecom systems into overall project designs.
  • Apply electrical and technology design principles to develop efficient, scalable, and constructible telecom solutions.
  • Prepare and update drawings, models, and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD as needed.
  • Support data center and other technology-intensive projects by contributing to detailed telecom and low-voltage designs.
  • Assist with coordination between design and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution and constructability.
  • Participate in project meetings, provide design input, and respond to design-related questions and clarifications.
  • Contribute to project controls by supporting schedule, scope, and documentation requirements related to telecom design.
  • Demonstrate initiative and leadership potential with the goal of progressing into a Project Manager role within the organization.
  • Continuously develop technical skills and stay current with industry standards, certifications, and best practices in telecommunications design.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in telecommunications design or closely related design work.
  • Proficiency in Revit with the ability to independently produce complete project deliverables.
  • background in electrical, drafting, architectural, or related disciplines with a strong interest in technology and telecom design.
  • Experience with electrical design, electrical engineering design, or electrical design engineering in a construction or design-build setting.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD for supporting design and documentation tasks.
  • Experience working on data center or similar technology-focused projects.
  • Understanding of construction processes and project controls within a design-build environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and communicate clearly with colleagues and project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality design standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification.
  • BICSI certification or related industry credentials.
  • Experience working on Amazon fulfillment centers or similar large-scale industrial or logistics facilities.
  • Strong interest in growing into a Project Manager role within approximately two years.
  • Desire to work in a career-oriented culture that emphasizes learning, mentorship, and long-term professional development.

Work Environment

The role is based in a hybrid work environment, with three days per week in the office and two days working remotely. The firm operates as a multi-disciplinary design-build organization, offering exposure to a wide variety of project types and technologies, including telecom, electrical, data centers, and construction-focused projects. The company promotes a career-oriented culture with a strong emphasis on longevity, growth opportunities, and continuous learning, reflected in the long average tenure of senior staff.
