In this role, you'll be hands-on with cutting-edge fiber-optic and RF networks-installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the systems that power critical communications for our members and customers.

What You'll Do

You'll play a key role in keeping our network strong, reliable, and growing. Your day-to-day may include:

  • Diagnosing and resolving network issues to ensure optimal performance
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for efficient project execution
  • Documenting all work to support compliance and future planning
  • Managing materials and recommending system upgrades
  • Coordinating with contractors, utilities, and regulatory agencies
  • Delivering excellent customer service, including technical support and training
  • Following all safety standards and industry best practices

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to safety and service:

  • Associate degree in electronics, telecommunications, or related field (preferred)
(Relevant experience or training may substitute)
  • 3+ years of experience in fiber optic installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of fiber splicing, testing, and network systems
  • Familiarity with GIS, CAD, or mapping tools (a plus)
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments-indoors, outdoors, and at heights
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record
(Class B CDL or willingness to obtain is a plus)
  • Willingness to obtain a North Carolina Notary Public commission

What to Expect

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    (Occasional evenings/weekends as needed)
  • Work Environment: Hands-on, field-based work in varying conditions throughout our service area
  • Impact: Your work directly supports reliable service for our members and community
