Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Postpartum Depression Outpatient Program

MindCare Solutions is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to support an outpatient postpartum depression program in partnership with a large health system in Louisiana. This role will work closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine teams across multiple hospitals to provide timely behavioral health evaluation and treatment for patients referred for postpartum depression and related perinatal mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a PMHNP interested in maternal mental health, outpatient psychiatry, and telehealth who is looking for a consistent, highly flexible part-time schedule.

Part-Time | Approximately 8 Hours per Week | Telehealth | Louisiana

Schedule

• Approximately 8 hours per week
• Weekday availability
• Coverage scheduled between approximately 9:00 AM-6:00 PM CT
• Consistent outpatient appointment blocks
• Visits conducted remotely through the health system''s telehealth/EHR platform

Responsibilities

• Complete psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for patients experiencing postpartum depression and related behavioral health concerns
• Provide outpatient psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and medication management orders as clinically appropriate
• Support patients referred from multiple hospitals and their affiliated Maternal-Fetal Medicine programs
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and appropriate ICD-10 & CPT coding within the client''s electronic health record
• Review relevant clinical history and referral information prior to appointments
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine providers and other members of the patient''s care team when clinically appropriate
• Participate in required hospital and payor credentialing/enrollment processes
• Maintain timely and complete clinical documentation in accordance with health system and MindCare requirements

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
• Active or eligible for Louisiana APRN licensure and prescriptive authority
• Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• Comfortable providing care through telehealth and documenting within an EHR
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to commit to approximately 8 hours of scheduled weekday coverage per week

Preferred Experience

• Experience treating postpartum depression, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, women''s mental health, or reproductive psychiatry
• Outpatient behavioral health experience
• Experience working collaboratively with OB/GYN or Maternal-Fetal Medicine teams
• Epic experience
• Previous telepsychiatry or telehealth experience

Employment Type: Part-Time / Independent Contractor

Expected Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, weekdays, within approximately 9:00 AM-6:00 PM CT

Location: Remote - supporting Louisiana-based patients and facilities
