April Lusk State Farm Agency is looking for a motivated, personable individual to join our team as a Telemarketer / Entry-Level Insurance Sales Representative.

This is an opportunity to get started in the insurance industry, develop valuable sales and communication skills, and build a career with a local State Farm agency. You will begin by connecting with prospective customers, introducing our agency, and helping identify insurance needs. As you develop your skills and obtain your Property & Casualty license, you will have the opportunity to grow into a licensed insurance sales role.

This is an in-office position based in Bastian, VA. Candidates from Bluefield and surrounding communities are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Make calls to prospective customers using agency-provided leads and contact lists
  
• Introduce the agency and establish a friendly, professional connection with potential customers
  
• Ask questions to identify customer needs and opportunities for an insurance conversation
  
• Schedule appointments and follow up with interested prospects
  
• Build relationships through consistent, professional communication
  
• Learn the agencys insurance products, services, and sales process
  
• Work toward obtaining a Property & Casualty insurance license
  
• Transition into discussing insurance options, preparing quotes, and selling insurance once properly licensed and trained
  
• Maintain accurate customer information and follow-up notes
  
• Provide a positive customer experience and contribute to the agencys growth
  
• Work collaboratively with the agency team while developing independent sales skills

Requirements

• No prior insurance experience required
  
• Must be willing to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license
  
• Previous telemarketing, customer service, sales, call center, or appointment-setting experience is helpful but not required
  
• Comfortable speaking with people by phone
  
• Excellent communication and listening skills
  
• Friendly, professional, and people-oriented
  
• Self-motivated and dependable
  
• Organized and able to maintain accurate records
  
• Comfortable learning computer systems and office software
  
• Willingness to learn insurance products and sales techniques
  
• Coachable and receptive to training
