    Job description: 

    Compass Palliative, a leading California-based palliative care provider, seeks outstanding New Mexico-based Nurse Practitioners/ PAs with experience and/or interest in palliative care & pain management. Our practice provides palliative & pain management telemedicine appointments for New Mexico-based patients residing in SNFs.

    We are pleased to offer FLEXIBLE DAYS and HOURS

    Expected Hours: 25 hours/ week


    This role is ideal for clinicians seeking a meaningful, short-term telemedicine opportunity with flexibility, strong clinical support, and the option for continued per diem work after a 2 month contract.

    The practitioner will be assigned a specific patient load for which they will be responsible. Our program is run by experienced and board-certified physicians who take pride in providing training and in-service education to their staff. They believe in the advancement of their staff as well as creating the best possible outcomes for the patients they serve.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    •    Assess patients in a telemedicine environment
    •    Provide palliative care & pain management to treat the patient best
    •    Prescribing and refilling medications
    •    Define and document patient diagnoses
    •    Assure all patients are completely satisfied
    •    Patient and family education and management
    •    Notate findings and treatment course in patient charts, including follow-up notes
    •    Actively participates in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals

    Requirements:

    • Must be licensed as an NP or PA in New Mexico
    • Must have active DEA license
    • Job Type: Contract
    • 25 hours/week
