Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of Tele or Cardiac Tele experience, inpatient only, is required. Telemetry reading is required. Experience working with CHF, chest pain, renal, and hemodialysis patients is required. Experience with Amio and Cardizem drips is required. Experience with central lines (HD caths, ports, and PICCs) is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation is a plus. Potential exposure to dopamine, dobutamine, lidocaine, nitro, and milrinone drips is preferred. Experience with chest tubes and other drains is preferred. Experience with the CIWA (withdrawal) protocol is preferred.

Special Requests: Blocked scheduling with no specific days may be approved based on facility requirements; requests must be listed on the submission form. RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end. Holiday RTO: Only 1 request per assignment.

Unit Details: This is a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit. Night patient ratios vary: 1:6-1:8 (estimates, not guarantees). Equipment includes lift equipment, a bladder scanner, an interpreter iPad, and BiPAP monitoring. Patients include CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias (mostly AFib, flutter, and SVT), respiratory, renal, and hemodialysis patients. Overflow patients include sepsis, urology, surgical, ETOH/drug withdrawals, isolation, and GI bleeds. Monitor technicians watch patients, and telemetry monitors are available at each nurse’s station.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, as required by the facility. No call. Night shift orients on day shift, and the traveler must be available the entire week for orientation.

Floating Requirements: Floats as needed to a similar or lower-acuity unit.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027, 09/06/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
