Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have post-procedural cardiac experience (cath lab, ablations, open heart). - Must be able to read and interpret telemetry and document it appropriately; nurses are expected to read and interpret telemetry twice per shift.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - PCU and stepdown experience preferred.
Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - The facility may make one-off exceptions if previously employed at the facility, but exceptions must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System. - Block scheduling is not guaranteed (maximum of 5 shifts in a row).
Unit Details: - Uses Epic. - 3rd floor patient mix includes cardiac-focused and post-procedural patients, including post-op day 1 open heart, TAVRs, ablations, post-cath, pacemakers, and med-tele. - 7th floor patient mix includes general telemetry, post-procedural overflow, CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, post-stroke, and more. - Titrated drips include heparin and, rarely, insulin; insulin-drip experience is not required and training is available if needed. - Common cardiac drips include amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, and set-rate cardiac infusions. - Support staff includes 3 CNAs on 3rd floor and 5 CNAs on 7th floor; typical CNA ratios are 1:8 depending on staffing and census. - Remote telemetry techs are located on the 3rd floor. - Charge nurse is present on each unit and typically does not take an assignment unless necessary; crisis and resource nurses are available in house if needed. - RT is available on each floor and manages intermittent high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP; RT administers breathing treatments, and RNs may be asked to assist if needed.
Shift & Scheduling: - Weekends as needed. - 5-6 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule for day shift (weekends are Saturday/Sunday). - May be asked to work holidays, but not every holiday. - Call is not typically required.
Floating Requirements: - Travelers are first to float. - Tele 3 and Tele 7 pool staffing together to cover staffing needs; travelers will be expected to float between 3rd and 7th floors as needed. - Can float to other MS, MS-Tele, or Tele units within the hospital and to sister facilities in Meridian and Nampa.

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
