Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed. If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Special Requests: Eligibility as current/previous employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system. Previous permanent candidates must be separated from the facility for 2 years. Previous travelers who worked there for 1 full year must be separated from the facility for 2 years. Block scheduling allowed if included in the contract.
Unit Details: Current acuity is more telemetry than PCU/stepdown. Common diagnoses and patient population include elevated troponin, active chest pain, pre/post cath patients with or without intervention, post-STEMI after ICU, NSTEMI, pacers, peritoneal dialysis patients, occasional post-surgical orthopedic patients, and oncology overflow. Set-rate drips include Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Integrilin, and Nitro. May care for BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow patients; respiratory therapy manages these. Uses Phillips cardiac monitors and Omnicell. No IV team.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; day shift weekend rotation is Saturday/Sunday. The unit tries not to schedule travelers on holidays if possible; however, travelers are expected to work holidays if needed. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Floating Requirements: Rare floating to ICU overflow tele or Ortho/MedSurg.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
