    Telephone Operator (Weekend Evenings)

    Every Other Saturday & Sunday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

    St. Christopher''s Hospital for Children is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Telephone Operator to join our team every weekend. In this role, you''ll serve as the first point of contact for patients, families, physicians, and staff, ensuring calls are handled professionally, efficiently, and with compassion.

    This position plays a vital role in supporting hospital operations by connecting callers to the appropriate departments, assisting with emergency communications, and helping patients and visitors navigate the hospital.

    What You''ll Do

    • Answer and direct incoming external and internal calls in a courteous and timely manner.
    • Provide approved patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
    • Page physicians and on-call staff following established hospital procedures.
    • Maintain and update physician on-call schedules within the hospital paging system.
    • Respond promptly to medical emergency notifications and initiate appropriate communication procedures.
    • Assist patients, families, visitors, and staff by providing accurate hospital information and directions.
    • Support hospital pager services and communication systems.
