    Job Description

    A Teller is a customer facing position responsible for quickly and accurately processing a customer’s transaction while maintaining a positive and professional image.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Assist customers with accurate processing of their transactions while providing quality customer service.
    2. Process commercial and personal deposits, wire transfers, loan payments, credit card payments/cash advances, savings bonds, cashiers’ checks, check orders, telephone transfer requests and Tax & Treasury deposits.
    3. Accuracy in handling, maintaining and monitoring cash drawer.
    4. Cross-sell all bank products and services.
    5. Know and follow current banking policies and regulations relating to the deposit and withdrawal of funds.
    6. Monitor and verify internal control processes and procedures relating to the Teller area.
    7. Open and follow safe deposit box procedures.
    8. Customer problem resolution.
    9. Branch capture duties.
    10. Perform address changes and CIF maintenance.
    11. Responsible for promoting the organization in the community through participation in various civic and community events, activities, committees, and organizations.
    12. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism regarding all employee and customer issues and information.
    13. Contribute to the overall success of the organization by leveraging opportunities as they relate to all entities of Bravera Bank.
    14. Adhere to all banking rules and regulations, including but not limited to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act. In addition, the employee will be proactive in the prevention of illegal activities, will vigilantly look for activities that may constitute any type of fraud including money laundering, and will report any suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.

     

    Qualifications

    1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of post-secondary education preferred.
    2. Experience: Less than 1 year of banking experience or customer service experience.
    3. Ability to be an independent thinker.
