POsition: TELLER

Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for receiving and paying out money, and keeping records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Acknowledge/Greet Customers
  • Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back, and issue receipts of deposit.
  • Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements.
  • Process savings withdrawals.
  • Cash checks: verify endorsement, receive proper identification, and ensure validity.
  • Identify counterfeit currency.
  • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Contact the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
  • Count and roll loose coins.
  • Issue official checks and cashier’s checks.
  • Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.
  • Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
  • Ensure teller station is properly supplied.
  • Accept parish property tax payments, local utilities payments (e.g., water, gas, cable)
  • Balance and update savings passbooks, and close accounts when requested.
  • Follow procedures for removing accounts for dormancy.
  • Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks.
  • Redeem U.S. Savings Bonds.
  • Maintain appropriate currency logs.

Follow all bank policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:                                                     

High school diploma or GED required; One year certificate from college or technical school preferred; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Cash handling or sales experience preferred.  Customer Service experience desired.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:                                               

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages. 

COMPUTER SKILLS:                                              

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 

POSITION: LOAN ASSISTANT

SUMMARY:

As a key member of our lending support team, you will be responsible for preparing loan documents for consumer, commercial, and real estate transactions. Working closely with loan officers and processors, you will help resolve documentation issues, streamline processes, and ensure a smooth loan closing experience. This role combines administrative expertise with customer service, and requires interaction with clients both in person and over the phone.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer & Team Support

·         Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming calls and visitors, route inquiries appropriately.

·         Provide administrative support to loan officers including scheduling, correspondence, and le management.

·         Respond to customer inquiries and assist in gathering required documentation.

Loan Documentation & Processing

·         Prepare loan application packages and assist with pre-funding documentation such as:

·         Ordering appraisals, credit reports, title reports, insurance verications, ood certicates, etc.

·         Compiling RESPA disclosures and ID verications.

·         Maintain and update loan pipeline reports and application checklists.

·         Ensure loan documents are accurate, compliant, and ready for customer signature.

Disbursement & Closing Coordination

·         Coordinate closing appointments with attorneys and customers as needed.

·         Prepare disbursement instructions (e.g., cashier checks, wires, deposits) as directed.

·         Review completed loan packages and forward to the Loan Accounting Department for processing.

Data Management & Compliance

·         Create and maintain credit and collateral les.

·         Track and resolve pending documentation or post-closing exceptions.

·         Maintain supplies of loan application materials and ensure alignment with Compliance guidelines.

Additional Support Tasks

·         Prepare Board presentation packets and internal communication materials.

·         Assist with insurance coverage and nancial documentation verications.

·         Calculate nancial ratios (DTI, LTV) as needed.

·         Complete general clerical duties such as ling, faxing, scanning, and supply management.

 

Qualications Education & Experience

·         Associate’s degree (or equivalent) preferred.

·         3+ years of administrative or loan support experience in a fast-paced professional environment.

·         Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
