Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation and formulation of products, ensuring compliance with CGMP standards and maintaining the highest quality throughout the production process.
As a Compounder, you will play a key role in the production process by preparing and blending raw materials in accordance with specific formulas and guidelines. This position requires strong attention to detail, understanding of materials handling, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to operate various equipment used in the mixing and compounding process.
Responsibilities
Prepare and compound raw materials according to specified formulations and procedures.
Operate laboratory equipment and machinery for mixing, blending, and packaging products.
Ensure all processes comply with CGMP regulations and quality standards.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch numbers and material usage.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes through lean manufacturing techniques.
Assist in materials handling within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials.
Fabricate necessary components for production as required.
Weigh and measure raw materials accurately based on approved formulas and batch records.
Mix and compound ingredients to produce finished products.
Operate blending, mixing, and other related machinery.
Ensure products meet quality specifications and batch records.
Requirements
Proven experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment is preferred.
Familiarity with CGMP regulations and quality assurance practices is highly desirable.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency in production processes.
Experience in machining or fabrication processes is a plus.
Strong skills in materials handling and warehouse operations.
Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification may be required.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in relevant fields is a plus.
Prior experience in a compounding, manufacturing, or production environment is preferred.
Knowledge of GMP, batch records, and safety standards is an asset.
Ability to accurately measure, mix, and blend raw materials.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Basic understanding of chemical processes and equipment used in compounding.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
Desired Skills:
Experience in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food manufacturing industries is a plus.
Familiarity with production and compounding equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
