We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career development in a thriving industry./ppCAPREIT Core Values: FACE-IN/ppFAMILY - ACCOUNTABILITY - COMMUNICATION - EXCELLENCE - INTEGRITY/ppThe Compensation and CAPREIT Benefits for this position can be read below./pp$24/HR/ppTemporary position/Not eligible for benefits./ppAbout Belmont/ppLocation: Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401/ppNumber of Units: 300/ppCommunity Style: Gardeb/ppNumber of Openings: 1/ph2Responsibilities/h2pEnsure the physical aspects of the community meet CAPREITs established standards and any applicable laws by troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing individual heating and A/C units, water heaters, appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, asphalt, building interiors and exteriors, drainage systems, remodeling carpentry, and cleaning for the community; responding to and completing service requests in a timely manner; and notifying the manager if service requests cannot be completed in 24 hours./ppFollow safety protocols and procedures by operating power equipment and tools as recommended and wearing protective equipment when necessary./ppUpkeep the community appearance by assisting with grounds and housekeeping, removing trash and litter, painting and performing exterior repairs, replacing interior and exterior light bulbs, performing apartment inspections, and any other tasks as needed./ppAssist the Maintenance Supervisor by preparing vacant apartments for move-in; performing preventative maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently; maintain the inventory of supplies, tools and equipment; and performing all other duties as assigned./ppAssist the office staff by distributing notices and interacting with residents, prospective residents, and vendors in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner/ph2Qualifications/h2pPosition Requirements:/pp1 to 3 years of apartment maintenance experience/ppA valid CFC with Type I and II or with Universal certification is preferred/ppA valid drivers license and reliable transportation to respond to on-call emergencies, when needed/ppAbility to provide your own basic tools/ppComputer literacy skills/ppA high school diploma or equivalent/ppTemporary position/Not eligible for benefits/ppSchedule Requirements: Monday - Friday/On Call/p/div
