Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a Temp Buyer to join their client's dynamic team in Commerce, California. This role is a temporary assignment for 1-2 months, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to the procurement process within a fabrication shop environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Job Description: Purchasing - Fab Shop Support
  • The Fab Shop Buyer executes the tactical procurement of materials, ensuring all necessary components are available for scheduled fabrication.
  • Material Release: Finalizes and releases the detailed, executable BOM.
  • Lead Time & Delivery Management: Ensures material lead times align with the fabrication schedule to guarantee on-time delivery.
  • Logistics: Collaborate with the PM, Field Leadership, and Fab Shop leadership to guarantee that the flow and management of materials align with project requirements.
  • Prepurchased Material: Oversee the storage, inventory, and release schedule for all prepurchased materials.
  • Supplier Coordination: Manages supplier changes, cancellations, or sourcing adjustments based on performance and lead times. Changes to unit costs must be coordinated with the PM.
  • Backorder Management: Proactively tracks and manages all material backorders, communicating status updates and mitigating schedule impacts.

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday 7am-4pm
