What Youll Do
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures in the Operating Room (CVOR).
- Prepare for cases by ensuring supplies and equipment are available and in working condition.
- Confirm and/or assemble sterile instruments for correct use.
- Set up and maintain a sterile environment, including monitoring the sterile field and recognizing breaks in technique.
- Anticipate the surgeons needs during procedures.
- Keep accurate counts and records for medications, sharps, instruments, and sponges per policy.
- Verify items on the physician preference card and support accurate documentation for patient charges.
What You Need
Required
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)
- Ability to set up sterile fields and maintain sterile technique
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room workflow
Preferred
- Experience supporting cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) cases (if applicable/available)
About the Assignment
This temporary Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) role supports the Operating Room in a cardiovascular (CVOR) setting. Youll help ensure cases run smoothly by preparing sterile supplies and instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and supporting accurate counts and documentation throughout each procedure.
