What Youll Bring:
- Proven experience assisting surgeons during complex operative procedures, specifically in cardiovascular (CVOR) settings
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and aseptic environment maintenance
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail in high-stakes situations
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with surgical team members
- Competency in adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies
Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and surgical equipment management
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience, with recent CVOR experience preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must hold current certification (CST) and applicable licenses
- Ability to work weekdays (dayshift) with flexibility for on-call or overtime if needed
- Valid CPR certification
- Ability to travel within the specified radius for travel reimbursements is a plus
