Temp Construction Maintenance Specialist - Library - MOWING

Salt Lake County Library Facilities Operations is seeking outstanding individuals for mowing and landscaping. Library Facilities maintains the 18 Library grounds around Salt Lake County.

Work Schedule:

• June to October
• 40 hours weekly
• M-F, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

 Job Duties:

• Mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing debris at Salt Lake County Libraries.
• During the fall season, employees will perform leaf removal and parking lot cleanup at various library locations.

Background Check Information:

Due to the nature of some of these positions, the selected applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements. 

TEMPORARY POSITIONS:

An "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.

• Must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.
• Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.
• Are not considered merit employees.
• Are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.

Applicants will be assigned to work at a specific library upon hire. Assigned locations may vary based on need, vacancies, transportation, proximity to home address, and other factors.
