What Youll Do
- Observe residents on an ongoing basis and report changes in mental and physical well-being, including when physician notification is needed.
- Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders accurately, including documentation through computerized MARs/TARs and electronic records.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; maintain required pharmaceuticals for the unit.
- Supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) in accordance with licensing requirements, including assigning and overseeing resident care within scope of practice.
- Participate in resident rounds and support communication during care reviews (including 60-day review processes).
- Support resident care activities including oxygen administration, gastrostomy/jejunostomy feedings per policy, and wound care (including wound vac awareness/knowledge).
- Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and required unit reports/shift communications; maintain infection control awareness and a clean, hazard-free unit.
What You Need
Required- Current LVN/LPN license
- Ability to provide skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and facility procedures
- Reliable transportation (required due to the rural location and limited housing/public transit)
Preferred- Experience in Long Term Care (LTC)
- Familiarity with MAR/TAR documentation and computerized charting systems
- Experience supervising or working closely with nursing assistants/LNAs
