Pay: $19-$21/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and hands-on Mail & Print Production Operator to join our wonderful client in West Sacramento.

In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain high-speed digital printing presses, inserters, and bindery equipment. You will ensure all print and mail jobs are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule while strictly adhering to quality standards and USPS postal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation

• Set up and operate high-volume digital print equipment, mail inserters, folders, meters, and bindery machinery.

Job Preparation

• Read, interpret, and follow job tickets, work orders, and electronic files to ensure precise job specifications.

Quality Control

• Monitor output continuously for alignment, color consistency, print clarity, and proper data insertion to eliminate errors.

Inventory & Materials

• Load paper, envelopes, and ink into machines.
• Track and manage material usage for each job.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform routine machine maintenance, clean equipment, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues or paper jams.

Sorting & Compliance

• Ensure all finished mailings are sorted, trayed, and prepared in accordance with USPS guidelines and regulations.

Safety & Organization

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production floor environment.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Technical Skills

• Basic computer literacy and comfort navigating digital control panels on industrial machinery.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hour shifts).
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Attention to Detail

• Strong eye for accuracy, spotting layout mismatches, typos, or mechanical defects.

Work Ethic

• Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a commercial print shop, mail house, or paper production facility.
• Familiarity with high-speed inserters (e.g., Pitney Bowes, Bell & Howell) or digital presses (e.g., Xerox, Ricoh, Canon).
