Required Skills:
- Valid and active State Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure/certification
- Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices in rehabilitation
- Ability to administer therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, caregivers, and health team members
- Excellent documentation skills in electronic health records, adhering to regulatory standards
- Ability to assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Reliable and detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and regulatory compliance
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
- Familiarity with DME procurement and inventory management
- Supervisory experience with students or new staff
- Knowledge of telehealth practices and remote patient engagement
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting or related field
- Prior experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Professional references confirming clinical competence and teamwork
Other Requirements:
- Active state licensure or registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Willingness to work day shifts in Harrisonville, MO
- Ability to adhere to NBCOT / AOTA standards and ethical practice acts
- Capable of supporting and supervising students under licensed OT supervision
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training, meetings, and conferences
- Travel reimbursements applicable when necessary
