What You’ll Do

• Support clinical interventions by providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments to patients with cognitive or physical functioning disorders, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Administer procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, therapeutic activities, modalities, and supportive/assistive device use.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Document treatments, patient progress, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members regarding cognitive and physical health.
• Participate in care conferences, trainings, and team meetings as required.
• Support and supervise students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to professional standards, including NBCOT/AOTA practice acts, codes of conduct, and state regulations.

What You Need
Required:

• Active State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Preferred:

• Experience working with patients with cognitive and/or physical disorders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
