ADL Training: Teaches patients how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating, often using adaptive techniques.
Adaptive Equipment: Instructs patients and families on how to use special tools like reachers, mobility aids, or modified kitchen utensils.
Monitoring and Documentation: Records detailed notes on patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns, reporting these findings to the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans as needed.
Education and Support: Provides emotional encouragement to patients and trains caregivers on how to assist with home programs.
Operational Tasks: Prepares treatment areas, cleans equipment, and may handle administrative duties like scheduling and billing.
RequirementDescription:
2 years OTA experience in LTC setting - [REQUIRED]
TX or compact license - [REQUIRED]
DOR experience - [PREFERRED]
