What Youll Do:
- Deliver evidence-based, skilled, and medically necessary physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Perform a variety of interventions including manual techniques, ambulation support, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device training.
- Assess patient progress regularly and modify treatment plans accordingly, maintaining detailed documentation in accordance with regulatory and clinical standards.
- Provide counseling and education to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal recovery.
- Communicate effectively regarding patient progress, barriers, and care plans.
- Contribute to discharge planning and documentation, participating in meetings such as care conferences and utilization reviews.
- Support supervision of students and collaboration with team members to ensure the best patient care.
- Adhere to all applicable ethical guidelines, practice acts, and clinical protocols, maintaining active state licensure.
Required Skills:
- Valid State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Proven experience in rehabilitative care and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with patients and healthcare team members.
- Strong documentation skills adhering to regulatory standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Knowledge of assistive devices and modalities.
- Prior supervision of students or junior staff.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Active State Licensure.
- Ability to work daytime hours as scheduled.
- Willingness to participate in trainings, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Reliable transportation and ability to support DME or supply procurement if needed.
