What Youll Do:
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled treatments to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Administer procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and usage of supportive/assistive devices
- Assess patients progress, communicate with supervising PT to modify treatments, and document all care provided
- Support patient and family counseling related to physical disorders
- Participate in patient care conferences, meetings, and required trainings
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment minutes and patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Support and supervise students as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Ensure adherence to APTA and state practice acts, ethics, and conduct standards
What You Need:
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (if applicable)
- Prior experience in long-term care (preferred)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and support multidisciplinary teams
